Camp Descriptions

Women’s Drive

June 4th, 6th, 18th and 20th Newington Arena: 5:30pm - 7:20pm / $715

After sell-outs in 2022 and 2023, Pro Crease Goaltending Women’s Drive is back for its third year. The program is lead by Yale University Women’s Goaltending Coach, USA Hockey Women's U20 Goaltending Coach, and Pro Crease Goaltending Head Coach Mackenzie Bruch. This program will run over four separate days: June 4th, 6th, 18th, and 20th at the Newington Arena.

This camp is exclusive to women goaltenders ages 13+ who have the DRIVE to improve their craft through concentration, play, read, and save execution. Each date will consist of an hour and a half of ice time, pre-ice video and take home video/information. There will be additional guest coaches from New England Prep and NCAA Division I and III women’s teams.

Each session will focus on the mental and physical skills it takes to be successful in the Prep and NCAA game. There will be a great emphasis placed on play reading, game management, decision making, and save execution.

This camp is limited to 18 goaltenders and designed for women goaltenders ages 13+.

Fast Track 2.0

Session 1: June 11th & 13th Newington Arena: 5:45pm - 7:45pm / $375

Session 2: June 25th & 27th Newington Arena: 5:45pm - 7:45pm / $375

Fast Track is back for its fourth summer, bigger and better. The ratio of these camps are just 2:1! Fast Track is all about the goaltender - more ice, more you! Fast Track 2.0 will feature an extensive hour and a half of uninterrupted on-ice training. With such a low student to coach ratio you can be assured your goaltender will be working with a similarly aged and levels goalie partner. Detailed video work will also be included in Fast Track 2.0.

This camp is limited to just 18 goalies per session. All ages.

Foundation Camp

July 15th - 18th SoNo Ice House: 5:15pm - 7:15pm / $695

Each season Pro Crease Goaltending spends thousands of hours on the ice and at the rinks observing and listening to what areas of the position goalies need the most focus. Across all ages and levels, it is nearly unanimous that goalies need more coaching and reps in four areas: playing at the top of the crease, having a better catching, rebounds, and breakaways.

Armed with this information this year's Foundations Camp at the SoNo Ice House is where we will improve every attending goaltender's abilities in these key areas of the position.

Above Expected Goaltending - Overnight Camp - Formerly "Elite Week"

July 29th - August 1st South Kent School: $1,995

It would be easy to roll out the same Elite Week Camp that has sold out for nearly 15 years, but Pro Crease Owner, Jared Waimon wanted to make sure we are constantly evolving and challenging our goaltenders.

Jared has teamed up with University of Minnesota Gophers Men's Goaltending Coach, Brennan Poderzay to bring you an elevated camp experience in Above Expected Goaltending.

There is a difference when working with Brennan and Jared. They are not “private lesson coaches.” All season long they are working with a team or out scouting 200+ games a year. They know you cannot train like the position happens in a vacuum. The camps are designed for goaltenders to improve in situations that really happen. There is no "cookie cutter" coaching or subjective situations.

Everything is included in this camp: 10+ hours of ice, individual and group video sessions, unique off-ice sessions, and room and board. Coaches will be on-site 24 hours per day to ensure a responsible environment.

Avon Old Farms Overnight - Special Opportunity Camp

August 1st - 3th Avon Old Farms: $1,495

Pro Crease Goaltending in conjunction with Avon Old Farms Head Hockey Coach John Gardner is honored and excited to bring a special opportunity for birth year goaltender 2008-2011. Through his historic career, Coach Gardner has guided Avon Old Farms to over 800 wins and 8 New England Prep School titles.

This all inclusive overnight summer camp experience will immerse each goaltender in what it takes to play at the prep level. Pro Crease, Coach John Gardner, and AOF have developed a special relationship over the past 10 years which has yielded an unprecedented level of goaltending excellence synonymous with Avon Old Farms. Aspiring goaltenders have the opportunity to learn and observe Coach Gardner's proven coaching ability.

This exclusive opportunity is limited to only 15 goaltenders and is likely to sell out quickly.

Above Expected Goaltending - Day - Formerly "Prep Camp"

August 12th - 16th Stamford Twin Rinks: 3:00pm - 6:00pm / $1,495

Last summer's Prep Camp was an astounding success, getting rave reviews from attendees. With that in mind we decided to take the camp to another level by teaming up with Brennan Poderzay (University of Minnesota Goaltending Coach) and making this an Above Expected Goaltending event. At the Above Expected Day Camp goaltenders will be on the ice for no less than 10 hours.

There will be 15 goaltenders or less on the ice at once. All goaltenders will participate in revealing video sessions along with camp wide discussions. Through mindful repetition with a superior coaching staff, goaltenders will increase their ability to execute their foundation in a more consistent manner and, elevate their play by learning the "details that differentiate."

CPCT Full Day

August 12th - 16th: See CPCT Website for cost

This full day camp running from August 12th – 16th is the perfect bridge from the summer into the hockey season. This camp will feature a goaltender to coach ratio of less than 3:1.

The Full Day Camp will include: two 90-minute ice sessions, off ice training and an extensive video breakdown session each day. This camp is ideal for all youth hockey goaltenders. There will be a high level of focus on the foundational components necessary to advance from level to level. Goaltender IQ will be a key feature to the camp this summer. Learning to read plays and identify patterns is more important than ever!

This camp has consistently sold out for the past 8 seasons and will ONLY be offered at Chelsea Piers Connecticut in the summer of 2024. Sign up on the Chelsea Piers website. All ages.

AOF Full Day Camp

August 19th – 22nd Avon Old Farms: 8:30am - 3:00pm / $775

The Full Day Development Camp will take place from August 19th-22nd. With a goalie to coach ratio of less than 3:1, it is a perfect bridge from the summer into the hockey season. The AOF Full Day Camp will include: two 90-minute ice sessions, off ice training, and an extensive video breakdown session each day.

This camp is ideal for all youth hockey goaltenders. There will be a high level of focus on the foundational components necessary to advance from level to level. Goaltender IQ will be a key feature to the camp this summer as learning to read plays and identify patterns are more important then ever! All ages.
